Dixie TIP

Transportation Improvement Program
Notice is hereby given that the Dixie Metropolitan Planning Organization (DMPO) and the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) are seeking public review and comment on their respective proposed 2017 to 2021 Transportation Improvement Programs (TIPs) and the 2017 to 2021 Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP). Each year Dixie MPO seeks public input on the Transportation Improvement Plan (TIP) – a list of projects approved to receive MPO funding over the next four years. This year, MPO officials chose to add one new project to the 2017-2021 TIP and to increase funding on another project:

  1. Merrill Road Extension – MPO officials programmed $1 million of federal funds anticipated in 2017 to this project. Washington City agreed to cover the required $72,616 local match and agreed to seek additional funds for the project. A concept report is available at Merrill Road and a Map of the proposal is available at  Map of Merrill Road.
  2. River Road (Riverside Dr. to 1450 South) in St. George City – MPO officials programmed $1.4 million of federal funds anticipated in 2020 to this project. St. George City agreed to cover the required $101,663 local match and agreed to seek additional funds for the project. A concept report is available at River Road (Riverside Dr. to 1450 South).

Projects previously programmed for funding are noted below:

The TIP is a six-year program of highway, transit, and other transportation projects for Washington County. The STIP is a six-year program of statewide projects.
