The Dixie MPO Received 45 comments on the proposed Transportation Improvement Plan (TIP) during the official public comment period in July 2018. That official comment period is now closed, however the MPO still welcomes public input on its programs and projects as noted below.
In January 2018, the MPO identified $2.3 million in funds that could be programmed to projects in STIP Year 2022. Three separate applications applied for the funds:
MPO officials proposed the STIP Year 2022 funds be allocated as follows:
- $2 million to construct Washington Parkway from I-15’s Exit 13 to Green Springs Road (Project #16646). Together with previous actions by the MPO, a total of $4.6 million is programmed to this project. Washington City agreed to pay the local match requirements plus any additional costs of the project. - $300,000 to re-construct and widen Old Highway 91 from 200 East to Shivwits Reservation in Ivins. Funds now programmed for the project total $2.6 million. Ivins City agreed to pay the local match requirements plus any additional costs of the project. A concept report and map are available at Old 91.
The public comments received in July are now under consideration with action on this item anticipated in September 2018.
